This third generation Automower® is a fully automatic lawn mower designed for smaller and/or more complicated grass areas. Compact, stylish and suitable for lawns up to 500 m² (1/8 acre). The light-weight design make it easy to lift and move for houses with front- and back gardens. A true member of the successful Automower® family which means that the mower returns to the charging station when the battery needs recharging. Easy to understand backlit display and keypad for the personal settings and timer function. Equipped with anti-theft alarm and PIN-code lock.
Smaller, lighter and even easier to handle. With the coming addition to the family, Husqvarna Automower® is about to change gardening forever. Again. And this time, for the largest group of end-users yet. “The 305 is designed for the average homeowner lawn. It is the model that will truly make Automower® a household name,” says Olle Markusson, Global Product Manager, Robotic mowers.
The development process of the coming Automower® 305 started in early 2009. The goal was to create a robotic lawnmower for the typical homeowner with a regular sized house lawn, something that has minted the new model in several ways. “On many markets an average lawn is less than 400 square meters so, to be on the safe side, we’ve designed it for another 100 square meters. Automower® 305 is the first robotic mower from Husqvarna to run on lithium batteries, making it the lightest product in the family. A solution that also improves battery life and makes it more resilient to heat,” says Olle Markusson.
The Automower 305 is available now. It is the most compact version to date. By placing the cutting disc between the two front wheels, the design team were able to shorten the distance needed to the front of the machine, thus making the 305 model the tightest Automower® yet. The design makes a fourth wheel redundant, which in all gets the weight down to just 7 kg. “It’s a smaller robotic mower for a smaller lawn, focusing on the general consumer."
Automower® 305 was launched at the end of February 2011.
