Horticultural / Lawnmower Technician/ Workshop Assistant
We have an opening for a very organised and methodical person to work with our Lawnmower Sales & Maintenance Team. The role is multi-faceted and diverse in that you will be helping to assemble and service our range of lawnmowers and horticultural equipment. You will also be assisting the Team Leader with Robotic Mower installations You will also be assisting in the shop with sales and offering input into the expansion of our Web site.
This is an opportunity to use your existing skills while improving your knowledge of new technology particularly around wired and GPS driven robotic mowers. If you are a good problem solver with an analytical mind, this is the role for you.
You would be working with our team of technicians and your duties would include:

Servicing, building and repairing garden machinery in the workshop

providing advice to Customer in the shop on the best mower for their garden

Installing robotic mowers in Customer's gardens with another Team member

Using your Internet knowledge to assist with the development and marketing of our product offering on the Internet.
During the Spring and Summer you will be predominantly advising on and building all types of garden and forestry equipment as well as installing Robotic Mowers in beautiful gardens. The Winter is given over to working with our team on building, repairing and maintenance in the workshop as well as packing and dispatching garden implements sold on our Web Shop.
This position would ideally suit someone who is interested in working with machinery and also enjoys interaction with Customers as well as selling products in the Internet. You do NOT need to be a qualified mechanic for this role as good communication skills and an ability to solve problems is just as important. Full training on robotic mowers will be given and and you will be supported in developing your skills to enable you to pick up other aspects of the role.
We are ideally looking for someone who is available five days a week but we would consider an applicant who can work 4 days a week. You will be required to work at least one weekend day per month on a rota basis.
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with existing skills and experience.
