When a small greenhouse starts to limit what you can grow across the season, the Halls QUBE 68 6x8 Greenhouse offers the room to work, plant, and organise the way you want to.
When a small greenhouse starts to limit what you can grow across the season, the Halls QUBE 68 6x8 Greenhouse offers the room to work, plant, and organise properly. This 6x8 greenhouse suits growers who have outgrown compact models and now need enough internal length to separate planting stages rather than working on top of everything at once. The rectangular layout allows staging to run along one side while keeping uninterrupted ground space for taller crops on the other, making it easier to manage propagation and mature plants side by side. If square footprints feel restrictive and larger greenhouse formats feel visually overwhelming or impractical for your garden, the QUBE 68 provides a proportioned, functional step forward.
Halls QUBE 6x8 greenhouse features:
• 6x8 internal footprint offering increased growing length for organised planting layouts
• Full walk-in height for unrestricted movement when tending taller crops
• Full-length 3mm toughened safety glass panels in a floating glazing design
• Black powder-coated aluminium frame for long-term corrosion resistance
• Sliding door with low ground-level entry for easier daily access
• Secure tape-and-capping glazing system instead of traditional spring clips
• One roof vent supplied for airflow and heat control
• Integrated guttering for controlled rainwater collection
• 3mm toughened safety glazing for improved durability and safer breakage
• Compatible with a wide range of Halls internal accessories
• Optional downpipes available for connection to water butts
With the Halls QUBE 68 6x8 greenhouse, you’ll get:
Toughened safety glass for everyday confidence in a larger working greenhouse
This model uses 3mm toughened safety glass as standard, offering far greater impact resistance than horticultural panes. In a longer greenhouse where movement with tools, trays, and watering equipment is more frequent, this added strength significantly reduces accidental breakages and improves overall safety. If shattered, the glass breaks into small blunt fragments rather than sharp shards, while maintaining excellent light transmission across the full internal length for consistent plant growth.
Black powder-coated aluminium for stable year-round structure
The aluminium frame is finished in a black powder coating that resists corrosion, UV fading, and seasonal weathering. This helps the greenhouse retain its appearance and structural integrity through wet winters, temperature swings, and prolonged outdoor exposure, without the maintenance demands associated with timber frames. The darker finish also gives the structure greater visual weight and a more permanent presence in the garden.
High-pitched roof for improved airflow and working comfort
The steep roof profile increases usable headroom across the greenhouse and encourages warm air to rise naturally toward the roof vent. This improves comfort when working inside for extended periods and supports better temperature regulation for crops during warmer growing months. Externally, the roof angle also helps rain, debris, and snowfall shed naturally rather than building up on the glazing.
Low-threshold sliding door for easier movement in and out
The horizontally sliding door avoids obstructing internal working space, while the low ground-level threshold makes stepping in with compost bags, watering cans, or stacked trays simpler and safer during regular use. This is particularly beneficial in a mid-size working greenhouse where access is constant.
Tape-and-capping glazing method for long-term fixing security
Glass panels are secured using a tape-and-capping system rather than spring clips, which cushions the glass within the frame, reduces vibration and rattling in exposed gardens, and lowers the chance of panes working loose over time. This also creates a cleaner external finish with no visible fixings.
Integrated guttering for controlled rainwater management
Built-in guttering collects rainfall efficiently and can be paired with optional downpipes to feed water butts for sustainable watering throughout the growing season.
Standard roof vent for basic temperature and humidity release
One manually operated roof vent supports airflow, described to release excess heat and moisture during warmer spells and reduce condensation during cooler periods.
6x8 rectangular layout for dedicated growing zones
The added internal length compared with square models allows you to establish clear zones for propagation, mature plants, and tool storage without congestion. This improves workflow and prevents overcrowding during peak growing periods.
Optional steel base for reliable installation on softer ground
Where ground conditions are uneven or prone to movement, the optional galvanised steel base provides a rigid perimeter foundation that improves alignment, distributes load evenly, and helps prevent long-term settlement.
Accessory compatibility for adaptable internal setups
The QUBE 68 works with shelves, staging, louvre vents, and automatic vent openers, allowing the internal layout to evolve as your growing demands change without compromising access, airflow, or organisation.

Don't forget greenhouse bases and staging - delivery of these is also free at the same time as purchasing a Halls greenhouse.
Who the Qube 6x8 greenhouse is best suited to
As a mid-size 6x8 aluminium greenhouse, the Qube 68 sits between smaller 6x6 models and larger 6x10 formats. With this in mind, it's ideal for gardeners who have outgrown starter greenhouses and now want a structure that supports regular, productive use without moving into allotment-scale growing. It offers noticeably more internal working length than compact greenhouses, while avoiding the cost, visual dominance, and site preparation often associated with larger structures. If your growing volume is continuous and high-output year-round, a 6x10 may offer greater long-term efficiency. For most home growers, however, the 6x8 remains the most balanced and adaptable size.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a greenhouse base?
The base is sometimes included as part of a special offer. If that’s the case, set the base option to ZERO when ordering.
If your greenhouse is being built onto an existing solid structure such as concrete, brick, or a timber plinth, a separate base may not be necessary. However, in most cases, customers find it far easier to install their greenhouse onto a purpose-designed base. For this reason, the majority of buyers choose to purchase the greenhouse with the base, unless it is already included in a promotion.
Is a professional greenhouse installation needed?
Each greenhouse is supplied with clear instructions and can be assembled by a competent DIYer. That said, even a mid-sized greenhouse can take a full day or more to build, and good weather makes a big difference. Many customers prefer the reassurance and convenience of professional installation.
If you do opt for professional greenhouse installation, the site must be properly prepared in advance. This means the ground should be flat, level, clear of debris, and easily accessible for the installer.
