Wire-free robotic mower with edge-cutting performance for lawns up to 900m²

The Husqvarna Automower 305E NERA is a wire-free robotic lawn mower designed for gardens up to 900m² and supplied with the Husqvarna EPOS Plug-in. Using satellite-based technology rather than perimeter wires, it allows you to define mowing areas digitally, while the EdgeCut feature helps reduce the amount of manual trimming needed around lawn edges.

EPOS™ virtual boundaries make installation more adaptable and less disruptive than traditional wired systems. All setup and adjustments are handled through the Automower® Connect app, provided Wi-Fi coverage is available across the full lawn area.

Requirements:

• Wi-Fi internet coverage across the entire lawn area is required for EPOS™ functionality. Coverage can be checked easily, with solutions available if signal strength is limited.
• The Automower Connect app, available free on the App Store and Google Play.

Using the Automower Connect app, you can create and manage multiple work areas, along with temporary stay-out zones. These can be adjusted at any time, making it easy to adapt mowing schedules around garden projects or seasonal layout changes.

Selectable mowing patterns allow you to choose between striped, checkerboard or triangle finishes, covering lawns up to 900m². For a more uniform, carpet-style appearance, an irregular pattern mode is also available, suitable for areas up to 600m².

How does the satellite-based system work?

The EPOS system delivers high-precision positioning by combining satellite navigation with correction data from the Husqvarna Cloud, provided at no additional cost. With sufficient Wi-Fi coverage, this allows the mower to operate with positioning accuracy typically within 5cm.

Where Wi-Fi coverage is limited, signal strength can often be improved using a Wi-Fi extender or mesh system. Alternative options include accessories such as the Automower® Connect kit for cellular connectivity, or the Husqvarna EPOS® RS1 reference station, which enables internet-free operation with even greater positional accuracy. Installation of these accessories must be carried out by an authorised Husqvarna dealer.
